Adrianne George
Adrianne George, BEWC Management Board, Sweden
Adrianne George, a Washington, DC native, has lived in Europe since 2002. She has worked in London, Brussels and moved to Sweden in October 2006. She received master’s degrees from American University and Boston University Brussels and has worked in the non-profit, automotive, entertainment and communications agency environments in the United States and Europe.
In 2006 she launched JobsinStockholm.com, an Internet job board for English speakers in Sweden and the award winning Black Women in Europe blog. In 2007 she became an editor of the AfroSpear Think Tank Blog, launched the Black Women in Europe Social Network, and, along with Sandra Rafaela, launched the Women of the African Diaspora website and social network.
In 2009 she created the Stockholm Expat and EurObamaBlog.
Since 2008 she has been the chair of the Democrats Abroad Sweden Halland Chapter, and more recently the Ambassador for the Official XING Stockholm group. She currently splits her time between Stockholm and Halmstad, Sweden where she is a social media marketing consultant.
