21.04.2011
The Commission is organizing in Bulgaria in June high level events about the contribution of EU funds to the integration of Roma. They come as a follow-up to the 2008 EU Roma Summit in Brussels and to similar events in Hungary in 2009 and Romania in 2010. These events aim at raising awareness about the opportunities offered by EU funds, promoting their use and improving the impact of projects supported by them. They are also part of a process towards a better involvement of the Roma in the implementation of the EU funds operational programmes.
