Holland: passports for latent Dutch citizens

01.09.2010 We congratulate Rita and all Black women who are latent Dutch Citizens for getting finally the possibility to apply for a Dutch citizenship. The amendments of the Law on Dutch citizenship have been published in the 'Staatsblad' on 1 July 2010. With the implementation of the amendments latent Dutch can now acquire Dutch nationality. The new law will enter into force as of October 2010. After a long term and intensive lobby at the (inter) national level with Tiye International gender discrimination and exclusion from the Dutch Nationality is now a past station for all those who were still excluded.
