Annual Report on ECRI's Activities (EU)

01.09.2010 The European Commission Against Racism and Intolerance (ECRI) has released its Annual Report, covering the year 2009. As an introduction, ECRI outlines the main trends in the field of racism, racial discrimination, xenophobia, anti-Semitism and intolerance in Europe. ECRI states, that “Anti-Black racism persists in member States, often taking extreme forms, such as organised attacks against individuals or communities. Colour- related insults are widespread during sport activities.” (p. 8).
